The Elementary and High School prize list may be found on the www.oronofair.com website or is printed in booklet form and distributed to Orono Agricultural Society Members. The booklet may also be found in a number of local businesses for pick up.
Junior competitions appear in the exhibitors book under many of the classes. Check through the book for items of interest. For entry rules read the “General Rules and Regulations” in the front of the book. Entries for the School section do not require advanced entry but all other classes require you send in the entry form to the fair secretary.
Many livestock classes include Junior classes. Please note also that there are Junior classes in the “Vegetable and Fruit”; “Cultural Expressions”, “Photographic”, “Woodworking”, “Culinary Arts”, “Art”, “Old Time Fiddling”, and “Pet Show” Contests and a family competition, “Scarecrow Competition”. Most of these classes have directions regarding age and categories that may be entered as well as other information. Look through the Orono Fair Exhibitors Book for all the information.
Juniors 17 years of age and under do not require a paid membership to enter, but will be assigned a membership number when their entries are sent in to the secretary.
